Rahel Abdul Rahman as “Mo”

Rahel is of Kurdish descent and came to Australia as a refugee. At 15 years of age, he is the youngest cast member. He recently worked in the short film The Ground Beneath which is nominated for three AFI's. He hopes this film will give more acting opportunities for Australians of Middle Eastern background.

“Like it or not ethnic people have this natural comedic sense about them and people love to experience that. They are entertaining and have so many stories to tell. I believe that only when the Australian entertainment business learn to accept and appreciate people of Middle Eastern backgrounds, all people of non-Anglo backgrounds and their stories, only then can we have a more Australian and widely open country, with stories true to the real Australia,” he said.

He is thrilled to have had the opportunity to work with an actor of David's calibre, he explains.

“Working with David Field had to be the best thing about The Combination. His knowledge and artistic integrity helped me enable my traits as an actor. The escapade, which its was, is something I will cherish all my life and will always mention to people that I know David Field,” he said.
